About Faysal Bank T-20 Cup 2012-2013


The Twenty-20 Cup is a professional league for Twenty20 cricket competition in Pakistan, initiated in 2004 by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and is currently sponsored by Faysal Bank. Faysal Bank T20 is starting from 1 December to 9 Dec in three different grounds of Lahore. It’s the second Faysal Bank T20 tournament in just one year. For the first time 14 teams from Pakistan will be competing the event. Bahawalpur Stags are the new entrants which means Afghan Cheetahs, who participated in the previous event, will not be playing this year. The 14 teams participating in this mega domestic event are divided into two groups. All in all, 45 matches will be played.
Groups

Group A: Lahore Lions, Karachi Zebras, Sialkot Stallions, Islamabad Leopards, Abbottabad Falcons, Multan Tigers, Quetta Bears

Group B: Karachi Dolphins, Lahore Eagles, Rawalpindi Rams, Faisalabad Wolves, Peshawar Panthers, Hyderabad Hawks, Bahawalpur Stags.
History
Beginning in 2004, the Twenty-20 Cup was sponsored by ABN AMRO. In 2008, it was renamed as the RBS Twenty20 Cup being sponsored by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). In 2010, Faysal Bank took over the sponsorship after RBS's contract expired.
